A: It’s the delivery. We know the information is out there, we just bring household knowledge to our readers in a fun, manageable style.

A: It’s a collection of over fifty frugal, DIY, and homemaking blogs. As each blog is updated, the excerpt is posted to our sidebar. If you would like to join our community please send the url of your blog to helpme@home-ec101.com. We’ll check to make sure it fits our family friendly criteria.

Q: Why the retro look?
A: Why not? It’s smart and sassy, much like your hostesses.

A: Absolutely.

Q: Why are you any better than FLYlady?
A: We’re not. FLYlady is great at what she does, but she certainly does not appeal to every personality type. Ivy and I tend toward no nonsense with a side of snark. OK, maybe a little nonsense.

Q: Are those menu plans you post real?
A: Yes, but they are just plans. Like everyone else, we occasionally get off track. The menu plans help me keep our food budget under control.

Q: Are you really writing a book?
A: Slowly.

Q: Are the questions you answer real?
A: Almost all of them. Occasionally we make one up if there is something we feel needs to be addressed.
