Dear Home-Ec 101,
How do you guys “encourage” your husband to help out
around the house? I know some guys just help out, but
mine is not one of them. Do you have any tips? I promise I
will not tell him where they came from.

I started to write this post a long time ago, but found myself totally unable to. Mr. Ivy does help out around the house some, but let’s just say this is the major point of drama in our marriage and leave it at that.
Fortunately, my buddy Malia has answered this question beautifully.

sigh…….i needed help once………so i stopped doing dh’s laundry, i would simply say ‘hey could you please do a load of your laundry for me, i’m a bit behind’ he did it no-problem, of course i didn’t tell him i had stopped doing his laundry……..for about 6 months
— he laughed about it when he found out, he actually never figured it out on his own, but this is the same man who never noticed i took the wane’s coating off the kitchen walls for about 3 months……
