Dear Home-Ec 101,
Could I throw a plastic shower curtain in the washing machine? Mine’s really dirty and needs to be washed, but it’s too cold to take it outside and wash it like I have before.

Short answer: yes. I usually use a warm water cycle and I throw a towel in the wash cycle to help scrub up the shower curtain. If the towel is white, you can even throw some bleach in with it to help disinfect the curtain.
Once it’s finished washing, don’t put it in the dryer, just hang it back up in your shower with it fully closed to dry thoroughly.

Thanks for your idea. My way of cleaning shower curtain is using detergent and baking soda. Here's my procedure of cleaning shower curtain
