Sharing the frugal link love

Are you feeling the pinch?  In our household when unexpected bills arise the first thing to get slashed is the food and budget, here are some great links for reducing your grocery bill.

Remember not every tip fits every lifestyle.  Personally, I won’t feed my children ramen, but it may suit someone else.  Don’t throw the baby out with the bathwater if one suggestion isn’t workable in your eyes, it does not invalidate the rest of the lists.  Here are three to get you started.

Get Rich Slowly has How to Feed Yourself for $15* a Week

*adjusting for regions it may be as high as $25 in some areas, which is still under the USDA’s Thrifty food budget

 Hillbilly Housewife has a $40 a week emergency menu for 4 – 6 people

Of course there are suggestions at Cheap Cooking

  • Wow, what a lot of great info! Thanks for sharing those with us!

  • Thanks for the links. They are great. Not that I need much help with being frugal. Just last week, I feed 4 adults, 2 kids, and leftovers for 3 lunches, on under 6 bucks. :)
