Heather says:
Hey there, Home Eccers! Sometimes those of us with young children have days where we need 45 minutes to cook, to clean, or simply to hide in the bathroom to avoid pulling our own hair out by the handful.

Lizzie Swan of the award winning group Swingset Mamas was kind enough to send two copies of their DVD Swing, Dance and Sing, one to review and one for us to giveaway.

The songs are cute with an educational bent and I enjoy that they are sung by talented adults. There are people who enjoy hearing other people’s kids sing, I unfortunately am not among them. The songs are catchy with engaging rhythms and wordplay. If you enjoy Laurie Berkner, you’ll enjoy Swingset Mamas.

My children, aged 5, 3, and 1, all gave the DVD their version of a thumbs up. The 1yo danced to nearly all the songs, the 3yo whined when I turned off the TV, and the 5yo when pressed for an opinion pronounced it, “Good.”

You have up to three ways to enter our giveaway of the Swing, Dance, and Sing DVD. Simply comment for one entry. If you use Twitter, Tweet about our giveaway and leave the url of your tweet in a separate comment. If you are a blogger, you can post about this giveaway and leave another comment with the url of your post. The contest closes Sunday evening at 8pm EST and the winner will be selected by random number generator and announced Monday afternoon.

This contest is limited to US and Canadian residents.

Good luck!

  1. Anything to keep the almost-two-year-old from hanging on my leg at inopportunte times, such as when I’m trying to remove something large and extremely hot from the oven . . .

Sign me up to possibly win. 🙂
