Quick Tips from Everyday Life Episode 3

by Heather on January 27, 2010

Heather says:

Quick Apple Dip

1 TBSP creamy peanut butter
2 TBSP vanilla yogurt

Stir and serve with sliced apples.

Feel free to jazz it up and sprinkle on all kinds of evil delicious, just don’t try to pretend it’s healthy.

Ideas include:
granola, chocolate chips, coconut

It doesn’t take kids too long to realize they can reuse apple slices, don’t say I didn’t warn you.

Not sure if I have any vanilla yogurt in the fridge but this post just reminded me of how delicious peanut butter and apples is...mmmmm. And since it's on my mind, it'll definitely be what I'll be snacking on later. :)

I just made this--it's good! It will become a regular lunch item for us. Thanks.

I used to give the kids straight peanut butter w/ apple slices - I don't think DangerBoy would have gone for the yogurt, but The Daughter might have.

We homeschool, but the kids did used to go to a private school where they had to take their own lunches. I would sometimes send apples & peanut butter this way: core & slice the apple, then stick it back together using peanut butter as the glue. It also kept the apple from turning all yucky brown. Send extra napkins, it's messy.

Great tip, Bobbie! Thanks.

Wow, Leslie,
Yum. I love your blog and am just lucky my kids don't put me into the worst cooks in america show.
Take care,
shelley

Now THAT looks GOOD. :-)

Hey new Nutella fan... Use PB and Nutella, tastes like a peanut butter cup and makes the peanut butter much more dippable...I take to events as party food and the bowl is always licked clean.

Leslie, you have now been filed under E for Evil. Holy noms, anything regarding self-control flew out the window yesterday.
