A lot of the corn that was raised for cattle is now being diverted to use in ethanol. The demand for corn is currently outstripping production causing the price to rise on the consumer end for: diary, beef, and some corn products like tortillas.
I don't get it: what's the connection between corn and dairy prices? But I love a reminder for stocking up - thanks.
good to know. I will have to look for some deals myself and see if the stores around here are having sales too.
