Menu Monday 7/21

July 21st, 2008 by Heather

Heather says:

Today marks the beginning of birthday season in our home.  From now until mid September there is a high possibility of finding chocolate cake.  Typically we celebrate quietly, but this week we’re doing something a little out of the ordinary for a milestone birthday.  What do you do when birthdays roll around?

*Happy birthday Tim.

  • Your menu looks wonderful. My birthday was yesterday. We just celebrate it quietly with our best friends and my family. My friend made me the best peanut butter pie ever. I hope your seasons of birthdays are wonderful.
    Blessings,

  • Your menu sounds great! I’ll be trying the pasta salad when I get the chance.

  • Happy birthdays to all involved!

  • Happy Birthday to all those Leo’s ( oh, and I suppose there must be a Cancer, huh?) in your household! My Birthday will be coming up soon, and we’ll just be grilling some shrimp and my honey will bake me a nut free chocolate cake. Those are hard to find since most chocolate is “made in a factory that also processes peanuts…” and must be done at home due to a peanut allergy in our house. I am VERY excited! I don’t make a menu in advance quite as thoroughly as you do. Maybe I should try that. I have posted some of my recipes, if you’d like to see them. go to http://blog.angieschleicher.com/
I will continue to post more recipes there, complete with photos, so come by anytime!

  • It’s birthday season for us, too–Between July 25th and October 25th there are 14 birthdays in our families (5 in the last 3 days of July alone). We usually get together with extended families once a month and celebrate all birthdays that will happen before the next get-together.
