    Menu Monday 12/15

by Heather on December 15, 2008

    Heather says:

    Here’s this week’s tentative menu.

    • Monday –  Won ton soup with ground chicken, egg rolls (I’m totally cheating and buying some take out egg rolls)
    • Tuesday – Meatloaf, mashed potatoes, gravy, peas with almonds
    • Wednesday C.O.R.N.
    • Thursday –  Pork roast, buttered noodles, sauteed cabbage
    • Friday – Lemon, rosemary salmon, parslied potatoes, steamed vegetables
    • Saturday – Sub sandwich night, chips, raw vegetables for dipping
    • Sunday – Pot roast with celery, carrots, onions, and rice.

Tell me Home Eccers, what’s on the menu at your place? Are you trying any new recipes?

Monday – Salmon patties, threw in some lemon juice this time, made them last night so should be more formed to crisp up tonight.

Monday was “huge pot o’ gumbo” night to use up some really watery frozen flounder I got stuck with that isn’t fit to eat any other way. I got out my 5 gallon stewpot and filled it. We had dinner tonight and the rest went into the freezer for future suppers.

Tomorrow will be steak and potatoes with broccoli.

Wednesday will be roasted pork chops, baked mac-n-cheese, and whatever veggie looks good at the store this week. Last week the veggie pickings were pretty pathetic for some reason.

Thursday probably will be spaghetti, and Friday I’m either going out or will buy a roasted chicken (it’s $6 to buy a cooked one and $5.50 to buy a raw one, and the cooked ones seem to always be larger…go figure!).

one question: what is C.O.R.N….? And please pardon my ignorance.

It simply means Clean Out Refrigerator Night. It’s just a fun acronym that keeps us from wasting food.
