Beef it’s What’s for Dinner: The Giveaway

by Heather on April 10, 2009

    Heather says:

It’s time for a giveaway. Today*, thanks to the fine folks at BeefitsWhatsforDinner.com we have a $100 American Express gift card and three copies of  The Healthy Beef Cookbook to giveaway.

    Contest Prizes

Entering is simple and you can have a total of three entries.

    1. Leave a comment telling us which of the three recipes we shared this week: Mediterranean Beef Pitas, Walnut Crusted Roast, or Herb Crusted Steaks you found most appealing.

    2. Use Twitter to share the contest with your followers. Leave another comment with the link to your tweet. Here’s the shortened URL to make it easy: http://bit.ly/35IiP3

    3. Share the contest on your own blog and leave another comment with a link to your entry.

This contest will end at 9pm Central Daylight Time on Wednesday April 15, 2009.

*I felt a little silly posting about beef recipes on Good Friday, but I wasn’t thinking when I originally looked at the calendar. Ivy and I will be taking this weekend off to celebrate Easter with our families. We wish you peace and joy on these holy days.

The Herb Crusted Steaks looked the best (though all looked great). I’m going to have to try that one, just as soon as I get some steaks.

    Tara April 10, 2009 at 9:58 am

The Herb Crusted Steaks look delish- I can’t wait to try them out!

    Angela April 10, 2009 at 9:59 am

I am so making this… It sounds so good, Mediterranean Beef Pitas

    Susan April 10, 2009 at 10:03 am

Hi – you shared the Walnut Crusted Roast recipe this week w/ the Worcester Sauce on top.

    Cricket April 10, 2009 at 10:07 am

There’s no way I can pick just one…all three looked heavenly!!

Mrs. Petrie April 10, 2009 at 10:14 am

I liked the beef pitas. Mmm…maybe I can get my husband to make some for dinner. :)

    Joyce April 10, 2009 at 10:39 am

The Mediterranean Beef Pitas are slated to be on our menu soon – they really looked good.

    Becca April 10, 2009 at 10:54 am

As each recipe came up…..I liked it the best. So I will go with Herb crusted steak as this was my favorite by the end of the week. All the recipes truly looked amazing and yummy, though.

With a family of 7 I can always use fresh ideas in the kitchen so i would be TICKLED to get my hands on one of those cookbooks!

Thanks for the chance to win!

Walnut-crusted roast looks most enticing to me! Thanks for the giveaway!

Ms. Booty Homemaker (aka Paige) April 10, 2009 at 11:23 am

They all sound good, but I am so making the pitas filled with Mediterranean beef!! Yum.

Amanda @ Fake Ginger April 10, 2009 at 11:23 am

The walnut crusted roast sounded AMAZING!

    Stacy April 10, 2009 at 11:26 am

Definitely the herb crusted steaks. Those sound amazing!!!

    Jessica April 10, 2009 at 11:39 am

I would love to enter this contest! As for my favorite recipe of the three, you had me at “walnut crusted,” and when the rest of the recipe title involves “bleu cheese mashed potatoes” – hello! Walnut Crusted Roast *totally* gets my vote for most appealing. :)

    Brandy April 10, 2009 at 11:59 am

I like the Mediterranean beef pitas, please!

    daniellecorrelle April 10, 2009 at 12:00 pm

Well, I’m a vegetarian so NONE of these particularly appealed to ME, haha. But, I do cook meat for my family and I did save the mediterranian pitas recipe to try out! :o )

    Christopher April 10, 2009 at 12:01 pm

    Option 2 :)

The Herb Crusted Steaks – DEFINATELY. I’m going to try those as soon as I find some steaks for a decent price. FYI, those roasted tomatoes? YUMMY. A great way to use the bounty of those tomato plants in the yard.

Thought they all looked great but the beef pitas made it onto my menu plan for next week.

    Lorraine April 10, 2009 at 12:23 pm

I really liked the pita recipe! yummm

    silver April 10, 2009 at 1:01 pm

The herb crusted steak looks so tempting! But I’m more likely to make the pitas, as that’s the style of food my family tends to eat. Thanks for the great giveaway!

    bridgett April 10, 2009 at 1:59 pm

Mediterranean beef pitas, definitely. I have the ingredients for that, even, so there’s a good chance I’ll be making that in the next few days.

    Rechelle April 10, 2009 at 2:01 pm

the Walnut Crusted Roast with the bleu cheese mashed potatoes is sheer genius- I plan on making this and the steaks very soon-

    Walnut Crusted Roast looks delicious!

    Julia April 10, 2009 at 3:08 pm

    The pitas looked delish!

    April April 10, 2009 at 3:08 pm

I think the walnut crusted roast looked most delicous. But we are making the herbed steaks next week. (We actually had steaks in the freezer — the roast will have to wait!)

    Alexis April 10, 2009 at 3:12 pm

The herb crusted steaks sound super yummy!

Melanie Esqueda April 10, 2009 at 3:37 pm

All three look delicious!!! Woo hoo!

Melanie Esqueda April 10, 2009 at 3:41 pm

    There. I linked you! http://knittingloca.blogspot.com/2009/04/beef-baby.html : )

Just Mom April 10, 2009 at 3:51 pm

It’s the pitas, baby! They sounded great.

    Jenna Z April 10, 2009 at 3:57 pm

The pitas and I’ll tell you why if you can keep a secret. Because I could substitute MorningStar Farms vegetarian steak strips in them! No one said a vegetarian couldn’t enter. :) But the cookbook wouldn’t go to waste, my husband is a meat-eater!

    Leigh April 10, 2009 at 4:13 pm

The herb crusted steaks get my vote!!! I will also be trying the mediterrean pitas, too, though….

    Reneé April 10, 2009 at 4:17 pm

I loved the Mediterranean Beef Pitas – they look delish!

    Joanna April 10, 2009 at 4:19 pm

The Mediterranean Beef Pitas are what I found most appealing although the others look delicious as well. I know the Pitas would be a big hit at my house.

    Ron April 10, 2009 at 5:48 pm

Definitely the herb-crusted steaks, though you didn’t burn them enough for me (I know, it’s blasphemy).

    Cheryl W April 10, 2009 at 6:39 pm

I think the herb crusted steaks look great. I love peppercorn on my steaks. Thanks!

    Cathy April 10, 2009 at 6:48 pm
