Thursday Odds and Ends

I have a few things to address.

1) I think I’ll be able create a new cleaning schedule / task reminder for the sidebar. The last two designs did not provide the functionality I needed to provide the service.

2) I’ve been waylaid by allergies, but Fearless Friday is still on. I just can’t roll out pie dough in anything resembling a sanitary manner, so I’m pulling something fun from my emergency stockpile to share. I’ve already seen one of this week’s entries and I’m excited to see what the rest of you have up your sleeves.

3) Ah choo.

4) Someone asked if Ivy had finished the room by room series: Bedrooms, and then yes, Ivy succumbed to her blogging ADD. But, she has a fall cleaning series: Part 1, Part 2, Part 3.

5) I have a huge surprise for Monday and that’s all the hints you are going to get. However, I’d love to hear your guesses.

Now I’m off to keep the kids from hurting themselves or each other while I try to remain conscious and personally raise the stock of Kleenex type products.

A huge surprise for Monday? The Corn Refiners Association (the ones who put out those commercials talking about how awesome HCFS is) want to sponsor home-ec101.com and you'll be doing a giveaway? (don't look at me like that ... it *would* be a huge surprise.)

1. As if I needed more guilt over tasks left undone... ;o)

2. Sorry to hear about the allergies. I had them a few weeks ago when everything was blooming here. I might do a culinary experiment tomorrow, but only if the stars and planets are aligned correctly, as I'm starting a new project and the last three days have been one-step-forward-two-steps-back. So I have some catching up to do...not a good sign at the beginning of anything.

5. Does it have to do with a traditional June event that starts with a W and hopefully won't end in a divorce?

Summer Break has begun....so I am hoping Monday's post is about things to do to entertain the kiddos so momma/step-mom doesn't have to lose her mind this summer? eh?

I must admit that I have not posted because I have become a wicked person in my menu choices in the past couple of weeks. Business has been crazy busy, the kids are all home all day, it is 100+ degrees everyday and I am ten steps from the sanitarium by the time dinner rolls around. I have been really good about preparing fresh orgainic fruit salads every day....but that is where my menu savy ends and the MAC AND CHEESE/HAMBURGER HELPER/QUICK SPAGHETTI/PAPA JOHNS insticts take over.

Bad Becca, You Are grounded (can I go to the room and not come out for the rest of the day now?)
