		<description>About the buttons - there are a few tricks to remember.
1. Double thread your needles (Meaning thread the needle, then the 2 ends together at the opposite end.  Sew with both pieces of thread, instead of just one.)
2. Knot your thread at the beginning and end
3. I probably oversew my buttons - I loop diagnally through the button holes 4-5 times each, depending on how thick the thread is.

I&#039;m NO expert!!  But this is what I learned from 4-H as a little girl.    :)</description>

		<description>i (really did) hemmed a pair of bell-bottom jeans completely with safety pins...you could even see the funky metal bits through the fabric (yes, i have worn them like this in public, to a glossy magazine launch no less) i think might try adding the hem tape as you suggest. great idea! thanx ;)</description>
