the trick is to store the cookies on top of the refrigerator or on a high shelf. The calories are afraid of heights so they jump out of the cookies.

I did minimal homework this week, and ordered out food probably four times. All because I told myself that leaving town meant that I didn't have time to cook, nor did I need to waste food that I wasn't going to be able to eat. The understanding side of me says that I just needed a break, but I'm waiting for the shock when I realize just how much reading I've neglected, and how the pizza, Chinese and movie popcorn didn't help with my health plan goals.

It snowed ALOT here in Greensboro, NC, where I am visiting with my sister to help her in remodeling her home. We've done almost nothing beyond shoveling. Snow always makes me feel like it is a day off of school …….. and thus I am free of responsibilities.

I spent another week spending more time at the computer after coming home from work, instead of exercising and cooking a full scale dinner…
Yes, the weather was bad and I couldn't go for an intense "down-and-up-mountain" walk, but there is a set of weights in my basement waiting for me to love on them… and I am sure my deflating muscles are asking the same: "help me, help me!!".
And regarding the dinner, my excuse was that my husband is on a diet and he was so kind to cook the exact portions of food he needed or let me just have a French bread & cheese & soup light dinner…

I wasted away both Saturday and Sunday morning and a good chunk of each afternoon sleeping in and reading in bed and playing about on the internet instead of studying and writing a university course paper or spending time with my kids or making applesauce out of the 'going bad' apples I bought this past week. I made two batches of homemade toll house cookies on different days for events at work and a family get together at home, but I also ate a ton of them myself…and the dough, but the dough doesn't count, right?
