Site Admin: Odds and Ends

So, tonight’s peppermint bark was a failure on a couple of accounts. Mostly due to inattention and impatience. In the first case, I left the bag of crushed candy too close to the edge of the counter and an errant child wreaked havoc upon my kitchen. In the second, I was in a hurry and didn’t allow the full chill time recommended. Well, live and learn.

I’ll try again tomorrow.

I’ve been receiving a few odd things here and there to review or give away, so expect a few more of those in the next few weeks. Some are big, some are small, but as so many of my friends say, “Oooh shiny!” I’ll keep it limited to once a week so it doesn’t become too overwhelming. The way I see it, if it’s relevant and not something I have a hard line against, I don’t mind passing it along. Some of it may be convenience food related, but don’t expect me to suddenly start shilling for Hot Pockets™. I don’t know that this little corner of the Internet is worth what it would cost. -Ah, so we see there is a price, now we’re just negotiating. You do remember that joke, right?
