Sing With Me

March 21, 2008 by Heather

Heather says:

While cycling laundry this came to me and I must share it with you all.*

The Laundry Song

This is the chore that never ends.

Yes it goes on and on my friend.

Some people started washing it not knowing how it’s done and now I’m washing forever just because.

*Some would say it is because I am cruel and heartless, others because I am easily amused.  Which do you believe?

oh sorry, cruel and heartless! Maybe I don’t do enough laundry yet (baby #2 is coming) but I enjoy the process yet :)

OK, this just popped out of my head after reading that. To the tune of Karn Evil 9 (First Impression) from Emerson Lake & Palmer:

    Welcome back my friends
To the chore that never ends
Find the cup and get the soap
Pour it in, pour it in

    Separate your whites
Put the likes along with likes
We’ll be careful with your brights
Dump them in, dump them in

Turn it on, the wash is starting now
Guaranteed to screw it up somehow
When it’s done your family will mock
Rest assured you forgot that one red sock

Now your clothes are pink! Now your clothes are pink! Clothes are pink!

I really, really need to find an out let for this crap. :)

Margaret, I’m not quite sure when the laundry turned into a chore, but it did. I also cloth diaper and wash linens on the allergy rotation, which is more often than most people need to.

    Neither. You’re okay by me.

But you still have yet to tell me what my crisper is for. Can I put a casserole in there for a crunchy topping?
