Retro Saturday October 23, 2010

Heather says:

I’ve almost adjusted back to life after a trip to Las Vegas, just in time to give a short talk today and head to Toronto on Tuesday.

Each Saturday I dive back into the archives to pull up some of my favorite posts that would otherwise be buried by the blog format.

In October of 2009 I posted one of my favorite copycat recipes. If you are unfamiliar with that style, it’s a recipe written with the intent of duplicating a restaurant’s. In this case, I was trying to recreate the mushrooms from Outback.

Check out Burgundy Button Mushrooms.

Also from 2009, Have you ever wondered how a microwave works?

Jumping back another year, we were discussing ways to keep cookies from turning out flat and how to properly dispose of cooking grease.

And all the way back in 2007 we’ve got fake-n-bake pork chops, apple pie, and my favorite apple pie recipe, as written it makes two pies.

Now that I’m starving, I want you to tell me what you’ve been up to this week.

The comments are wide open, but don’t forget to enter the giveaway for the Cooking Light Way to Cook Vegetarian cook book running through tomorrow evening.
