Mother’s Day- have a happy one!

WinkIvy says:

Just wanted to wish all of you mothers (as compared to muthas!) a very happy Mother’s day!  I’ve gotta know: What did you get for Mother’s day? And, to make it more fun, what did you really want?

Me, I got an outfit I got to pick out myself (yay!) and my daughter made me a heart shaped box at school. Pretty cool, pretty cool.

What I really wanted was an entire afternoon to myself. It’s all I asked for! Didn’t get it, but maybe next year. :)

Now, let’s hear it from you!

I got a new digital camera and a DVD system for my minivan. Yep, the hubby peaked this year….I told him next year I want a yacht. Happy Mother’s Day all you fine, hard working Mommy’s!

I got a new laptop when my other exploded… well the motherboard went out. My husband did tranfer all my files last night from the hard drive to disk. So today I’d just like to go to the bathroom alone with no one walking in on me.

I asked for a day sans kids, even posted it on my blog, but what did I get? Breakfast made out of fridge leftovers ( some to old to date) and hubby went fishing. Yeah for mothers day!

A candle holder from JBelle that was made at school and a potted yellow rose bush from David & the kids. He had the kids “decorate” the terra cotta pot for me. So sweet! And several handmade cards, of course!

Plus, I’m getting to guest blog at Nashville is Talking this weekend. Since blogging is one of my most favorite things…this makes me very happy :D

My husband and son took me to the local Renaissance Festival and got me a Harry Potter style flying broom! I didn’t really want/expect anything so it was a pretty cool mother’s day.
