We usually get together with extended families once a month and celebrate all birthdays that will happen before the next get-together. My Birthday will be coming up soon, and we'll just be grilling some shrimp and my honey will bake me a nut free chocolate cake. Those are hard to find since most chocolate is "made in a factory that also processes peanuts..." and must be done at home due to a peanut allergy in our house. I am VERY excited! I don't make a menu in advance quite as thoroughly as you do. Maybe I should try that. I have posted some of my recipes, if you'd like to see them. go to http://blog.angieschleicher.com/ I will continue to post more recipes there, complete with photos, so come by anytime!
