    Menu Monday 3/16

by Heather on March 16, 2009

    Heather says:
This week a boatload of relatives are flying in, because everyone likes a mixed metaphor, right? The house is going to be packed with seven kids and four adults. Someone save me! As if that weren’t enough, today with a the help of some friends, I’m filming another video* for this site, giving a presentation on blogging, and just for fun, tossing in a couple of doctor’s appointments. Someone take a nap for me, please?

Tell me, Home Eccers, what is on your menu this week?

    • Monday – Chicken bog, green beans
    • Tuesday – Macaroni and cheese, hotdogs, (chili dogs for the adults) broccoli
    • Wednesday – Oven fried chicken, sweet potato fries, tossed salad
    • Thursday – Homemade pizza
    • Friday – Oven fried fish and chips, peas
    • Saturday – Enchiladas, refried beans, corn
    • Sunday – Steaks for the adults, burgers for the kids, pinto beans

*No, the first one has not been posted, we still have to make the opening and a few other details, but the plan to is to have a few live in April.

    Heather,
I will volunteer for the nap for you. LOL I am really good at napping so you should feel really refreshed.
I have to refinance the house today and get car tags, so we are having the spaghetti I fixed last night that only I ate. Don’t like that, you can have PB&J.

    Hi Heather,

I hope you have an enjoyable visit with family and that you get to take a nap. Company can be so much fun, but it is tiring.

Your Enchaladas sound terrific; I’m so hungry for lunch right now. My husband recently brought back a giant batch of fish from a trip to the gulf the week before. We are having a fish fry night with homemade coleslaw and oven fries.

Here’s a link to my menu — it includes a recipe for my husband’s favorite pasta dish. Baked Spaghetti with a delicious cheesy filling.

    Take Care,

Three out of five chillden in my household have left the building for the week (Spring Break with Bio Mom). So…in celebration of this temporary reduction in household size, we are eating out and travelling (ie: eating out some more) this week

So….our menu, this week, consists of things like: Mexican food, take out chineese, take out pizza, Sweet Tomatoes (yum!) and whatever we rustle up at the Grand Canyon.

Next week…back to the daily grind of feeding 7. This week….the cook is taking the week OFF!

    Yippee!

LOL Mom of three, someone has to be good at naps because it certainly isn’t the three year old.

Ang, nice to know what’s coming, eh?

Annie, http://www.home-ec101.com/chicken-bog-chicken-bog-chicken-bog-time/ It’s a chicken and rice dish, excellent comfort food.

Trixie, almost every time we fry fish we ask, “Why don’t we do this more?”

Becca, that IS reason to celebrate.

Stacey, you’re more than welcome to head out, but beware we’re running low on seating.

    Heather,
Did the nap for you this afternoon (the dog and I snoozed from 4:30 to 6 p.m. ) Hope it helped!
I’ll have to take one for me tomorrow. Unless you need it? Then I will do it for you and make time for one on Thursday for me.
    Okay?
    LOL
