    Saturday pizza night, raw vegetables, dip
    Sunday Super Bowl Sunday – tailgating: hotdogs, pasta salad, baked beans

    *Clean Out Refrigerator Night

    all i can say is that i checked out your pilau recipe and i for one was just SO relieved to see that you make your own stock because it is crazy not to. there is no comparison to the store bought which can ruin a perfectly good dish. rock on, sistah.

    I agree – homemade stock is hard to beat!
    I also wanted to say that I served a stir-fry on rice vermicelli last week. BUT I followed the package directions (bought them at my Asian store) and just soaked the noodles for 10 minutes. They were NOT done, so next time I will just go ahead and boil them for a few minutes! The noodles are a nice change from rice, I think (and food value is the same).
