Great idea for a gift. I did mixed cd's for our wedding favors. I put all the special songs from our wedding, along with a few others that were dedicated to people. One song included was dedicated to everyone at the weddingWe filled out the inside with the songs, and why they were special. On the front was a winter scene from my brothers house, and on the back was a picture of my and my hubby holding up a sign that says thank you. Below that was a special Indian prayer. It was a fun CD and I got so many compliments on it. I was proud of how it turned out.

Ya know, that's a good question, Cheryll, unfortunately I don't have an answer for that. Most of the music I have, I've ripped from my own CDs or have obtained legally from the band's website. If anyone knows, please let us know!

Great idea, but iTunes isn't gonna let you make CDs that can be read on any other machine. I can't even get music I paid for to play on my other computer, let alone my stereo system!

Doesn't matter that you paid for these songs. They will only play on the machine to which they downloaded. And if you upgrade your software? All that music you paid for will no longer play even on that machine.

It's a big rip off! So, if HE101 has a fix for this problem, please publish it!!

I love Pat Boone's in a metal mood. He covers:

1. You've Got Another Thing Comin'
2. Smoke On The Water
3. It's A Long Way To The Top (If You Wanna Rock 'N Roll)
4. Panama
5. No More Mr. Nice Guy
6. Love Hurts
7. Enter Sandman
8. Holy Diver
9. Paradise City
10. The Wind Cries Mary
11. Crazy Train
12. Stairway To Heaven

It's a total hoot!

Also, there's Golden Throats, which is way too long to list here, but you can look it up on WikiPedia ( http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Golden_Throats ). It has ancient celebrities covering all kind of songs--for example, "Peace in the Valley" by Wink Martindale and William Shatner covering "Lucy in the Sky with Diamonds" by the Beatles....it's really funny!

But my all time favorites ate Mojo Nixon covering the Smiths "Girlfriend in a Coma" and Buster Poindexter covering "Brown Eyed Girl".

I have to second this gift idea! Our water heater broke three days before my 8 y/o niece's birthday party so we were $700 bucks shy of doing ANYTHING. I burned her a CD with all the pre-teen stuff I could find and make her the cutest CD case cover with her favorite colors and her name printed on it. She absolutely LOVED the songs AND the fact that her name was on the CD case! Big Big hit!!
