Oh, I know! If I haven’t cleaned the bathroom for too long, we have more than usual unplanned visitors who need to use it. But if I clean it to sparkling in anticipation of a bunch of company, party or other planned get together here, NOBODY uses it! So now I just wipe it down quickly every morning!

Oh God, I am so screwed. Hubby and I are renovating the UR. Half the room is primed, one coat of paint. The other half I just now finished removing wallpaper. THe washer and drier are sitting in the middle of the room, baseboards gone. He spilled Downy on the floor, so it smells good, but the floor is slippery.

Kitchen has everything I normally store in the UR sitting on every spare flat space. There’s paper all over the floor in my office where the puppy hit a brand new package of paper and it went every where (yesterday.)

So basically the house is clean. Maybe #1 will bring home the new girl tonight. I’m in the jammies I wore yesterday, with paint on them (yup slept in them too) and a sweater that is so raggedy that the hole under the arm is bigger than the on one the neck. My pony tail is hanging off to one side, and my hair went flat several days ago. Did I wash it recently?!?

If your truth holds true, I am going to be putting up a small army.

By the way, have you heard from Ivy? I was a little worried today when she didn’t post her next fall cleaning idea. Afraid she may have overdone it a little. Just reading about all that work was making me tired. LOL

I promise I am normally more put together than this, but renovating brings out the worse in all of us. Please tell me it’s so!

the only side “rule” to this is: if it is someone you really want to impress, you A) just woke up and have bed head, horrible breath and are wearing your decades old nightshirt or B) you, your child and/or significant other have just worshipped the porcelain gods and are not exactly up for company

That is so true… last week I waited all week for the landlord to come over and fix our bathroom sink. He came at the end of the week before I had a chance to put the dishes in the dishwasher.
