Ivy and Heather say:
I hope you all have a safe and happy Fourth of July! Heather’s taking her kids to see a local fireworks display, and I’ll be at a BBQ at my mom’s. Here in Nashville we have a 70% chance of rain, so I’m not too cheery at the moment. We bought a ton of fireworks and I want to shoot them off!
Speaking of buying fireworks- here’s how we buy lots of them without breaking the budget. My whole family saves their spare change throughout the entire year. Then we pool all our change together and that is our fireworks fund. Usually, we come up with a pretty good amount so we can have a really nice fireworks display! (If it doesn’t rain, grumble, grumble.)
It also helps that we know someone who runs a fireworks stand in the summer, so we also get a handy discount! Our fireworks show is always a blast! (Pun totally and shamefully intended)
Have a safe and happy 4th!

I don't like them either. The kids went to a public display done by the city and hubby and I watched a movie on John Adams. It was very interesting and the neighbors fireworks went well with the cannon blasts on the movie. Thankfully it rained, so the ground was wet. We've had a dry week and I was really worried about fire.
We just got home from vacation, so I was glad to read my email, watch a movie and do a little laundry. Happy 4th.
