I should have asked my mom to move to Nashville when I was in school LOL School in Missouri starts in August and ends in June anyways, that's normal. You guys get out of school for Yom Kippur??? I don't even know what that is! I'm not Jewish lol____That's so crazy that different states have all these different rules for when to let kids out.

Fall is cleaning time for me too. Mostly motivated by the large Thanksgiving we host. I’m having trouble getting started this year….

Fall break, spring break, Martin Luther King Day, Rosh Hoshonnah, Cow in the Road day, it’s raining (I am totally serious, my kids have been sent home because it was raining), it’s going to snow (emphasis on going to), wanted to have a field trip but was too lazy to plan it day. You name it, our kids have been let out for it. We miss an entire day for a hurricane, I do not live on, or even near the coast. It was 75, sunny, no wind. The kids played outside. It didn’t even rain until three days later.

Let the weather guy predict snow (which they do pretty much from now until April) and they will close schools.

One year I got the school calendar and highlighted all the holidays. One week we went 4 days a week, the next 5 and it alternated through the entire school year. No wonder we start in August and go to nearly June.

Fall break? Your kids get a fall break?

Mine get off Rosh Hoshonnah, which was last week, and Yom Kippur, which is this week. But, I live in South Florida, not Nashville.

I do love a deep-big-cleaning……but I made a
resolution this past Jan. to clean at least one drawer, closet, shelf…….everyday this year….and it has really worked…….some days it’s just a drawer while cooking supper…..some days it’s and entire room and every drawer and closet in it……I have purged….thrown away….given away….it feels wonderful to have gotten ride of soooooo musch stuff!!! I have gone through all of my seasonal decorations and cleand them out to. Pam, South Bend

Painting here. Kids are in school, I am off. I am taking down wallpaper, and putting up primer. Not very motivated, but I will be once my new UR is nice and clean.
