Oh the memories!

When JBelle was still just a toddler, she got a small packet of crayons in her Halloween bucket. Said crayons got placed in someone’s pocket. (I really don’t remember if it was mine or DB’s.) There were forgotten about, placed in the wash and subsequently placed in the dryer. We weren’t as Internet savvy back then as were are now so it didn’t even occur to us to look at Crayola’s website for info. Instead, DB took the dryer apart (it was one of those stacked units with the dryer on top and the washer below) to clean out the drum of the dryer. I’m pretty sure WD-40 was used as some point! I just counted the garments as a loss and ended up tossing them. Sure wish I’d known that they could have been saved.

And thanks for the “checking pockets” reminder. I’ve been lax with that lately though we’ve had nothing more menacing than tissues go through the laundry cycle so far!

Just wanted to thank you for the crayon info. I saved the upholstery in DH’s car with it. Of course, now there are these huge clean spots in the upholstery which are glaringly bright ….
