I make our cranberry sauce…and now my husband loves it! Its really easy and very tasty. I make a double batch and can some up for Christmas, too!

I am surprised that my family is not the only one that DEMANDS dumplings for Thanksgiving. Just canned biscuit dough broken up into boiling turkey broth. You can’t get any simpler, can you!

I love cheesy potatoes! My Aunt Becky brings them each year and they’re delicious! As far as things we don’t like.. I am not sure. I don’t think many people in my extended family like cranberry sauce, but I could be wrong.

Defintly dumplings…..put these with the dressing and that’s all I need. I have never eaten cranberry sauce, sweet potatoes or pumpkin pie….why, I couldn’t really say since they’re always there for dinner.

For my family…Thanksgiving dinner isn’t complete without cinnamon apples (peel and core apples and boil in a mixture of water, sugar, and red hots)…AMAZING! I also really love good old canned cranberry jelly/sauce

For my husband it just isn’t Thanksgiving without green bean casserole.

Turkey of course. I have yet to find the perfect dressing recipe but we have to have it. But other than that a must is giblet gravy. I love to cover my turkey and dressing with it. YUM…my husband would argue and say its green bean casserole. LOL

First I love this series of post! They have been so helpful! Our family loves most traditional Thanksgiving dishes. But the one that we don’t like is Sweet Potatoes or Yams. Icky.

Turkey day just wouldn’t be right with out celery sticks covered in velveta cheese. my grandma would make them just for me. yummy!!!

Also to dress up the usual dry turkey we have started deep frying it and man is that yummy!!!!!! all of it is so delish!!!!

Hmm, for me Thanks Giving isn’t the same without the following:

My Nana’s pork stuffing (I won’t even TOUCH bread stuffing of any kind)
and Pumpkin pie

Other than that as long as there’s a turkey and some stuff to go with it I am happy.

A tradition in our family? Nana ALWAYS forgets to put out the cranberry sauce. ALWAYS. Also, pork stuffing is absolutely sinful on toast for breakfast the next morning. IF there’s any left over…

I’ll have to get the recipe and share it. It’s sooooo good.

We have to have ham…and usually with my family… deer meat too! I am from a VERY rural area and the the guys go deer hunting often so if they’ve managed to shoot anything we end up with venison Many times the ham is wild boar that they caught also! I’m always afraid that we will end up with squirrel or other such roadkill but so far so good!

My family is very large and we always do all the extended family as well on Thanksgiving so everyone brings a few things.
