As much as I love tofu, Tofurkey is a sin against nature and should be responded to with a Turducken.

We still haven’t figured out which of our parents gets “custody” of us for the holiday, or what our work schedules will accomodate! Last year, we moved into the house over Thanksgiving, and ended up having dinner at Shoney’s because we forgot that the groceries would be closed by the time we got done.

Our menu is the same, or else their is an uproar at the Thanksgiving day table. The only changes are dessert and appetizers. My sister makes all the desserts and I do the appetizers. Everyone else pitches in with the main meal, and it is done here. Already have my free turkey earned. Now, time to start cleaning, so we can get the rugs cleaned for the holiday season.

I think we’re going to be with my husband’s family and my sister-in-law is in charge with several friends. (another sigh) She’s a vegetarian.
(Disclaimer: I have vegetarian tendencies, but I consider turkey on Thanksgiving sacred and tofurkey does NOT COUNT.)
