Took longer than expected - ended up with a somewhat working kitchen-but no bathroom on the first floor. 20+ people. 2 kids come down with stomach flu on Thanksgiving morning. Didn't know you couldn't put sweet potato skins down a garbage disposal (installed 2 days before) so the kitchen sink got backed up. The flu ended up hitting every person at the party except for my 2 y/o sister and my dad. Even the people that came on Sunday afternoon got sick. Good times.

"If you’ve never played host over a holiday, don’t add in the stress of painting a room or gutting a bathroom over the next few weeks."

In 88 or 89 my parents had the kitchen remodeled.
