I made a recipe similar to this and shaped them into bees instead of balls.

Make an oval ball. Using a tooth-pick, make 2 eyes on one end. 1/3 of the way back from that, poke in 2 slices of almond for wings. For the back 2/3s, melt some chocolate chips in a zipper baggie in the microwave, snip a corner for a tiny hole, drizzles lines for the stripes on a bee.

These were so well received and really took very little more time (my minions did most of the decorating, I just did the chocolate stripes).

Those are really good — especially if you do the chocolate coating. I had an aunt who would make those for almost every family get-together.
