We do french toast alot here. AuntJemima is our topping of choice though. I also found a recipe for french toast waffles in my Joy of Cooking, I love it because I like to soak my bread and the waffle maker gets to the inside to cook the eggs better than my grill. YOu need to use melted butter in the egg mixture though, which is fine. I make large batches so that I can freeze them and use them all week, just toast em up quick and theres breaky! ;)

My husband likes sweet french toast -- ie: your recipe, I grew up with savory french toast made with salt and pepper, I usually make his and the children's first then mine.

Did you know that if you have a George Foreman grill (as I do, love it, can't live without it) you can use it to make fabbity faboo french toast? ^_^
Just a hint, in case there are other Foreman grill owners out there who are wondering what else to do with theirs besides make grilled chicken boobs and hamburgers.
