Dear Home Ec 101,
I tried making soup out of leftovers, like you recommend.  I threw in a handful of dry noodles but they were really soggy.  Do you think they were too old?

Monday - Spaghetti with meat sauce*, salad
Tuesday - French dips**, raw vegetables
Wednesday - Chicken noodle soup, biscuits
Thursday - Mushroom omelets, grits, fruit
Friday - Fish stew, wilted spinach
Saturday - Grilled chicken and vegetables, baked potatoes
Sunday - Peppered pork loin, cabbage, green beans, corn bread

*Left over meatloaf, recreated.
