my gma had one and swore by it but i think it would probably depend on what type of birds you’re using. my thought with them is they might work short term but birds aren’t as dumb as we think. scarecrows only work short term becasue the clothes you put on them smell like people. once the smell wears off, bring on the crows. i imagine the owls would be the same way, once they realize it’s fake, back they come.

I’ve always wondered how well those fake owls work. A former coworker had a terrible woodpecker problem and I suggested he get some inflatable owls, but I never heard if he did or how it worked. Anyone ever try those?

you can get wire cages to put over your tomatoes to keep the birds out as well! i’ve also had luck taking all those old CD’s that aol sends you free in the mail and tying them around my plants so they blow int he wind. te reflecting light seems to scare off the birds.
