Beauty By Ivy: Quick Hair Tip

May 21st, 2007 by Badbadivy

WinkIvy says:

No time to wash your hair?  Rub some talcum powder into your hair, then brush it out. It’ll remove smells and help refresh your limp, greasy hair. This also works for those of us that can’t wash their hair every day because it otherwise poofs out like the Stay-Puft Marshmallow man.

  • I had a friend in high school that did this and would swear by it!

  • i’ve heard this tip before, but think it would be difficult for dark-haired people. If you don’t get all the powder out, you’ll look weird!

  • GJR: It’s not as hard as you would think, I have naturally dark hair and it’s not too bad. You just have to make sure you brush thoroughly and look at the back of your hair before going out! ;)

  • I do this all the time- particularly in the morning when I have about 1/2 an hour to get to work and a shower is so out of the question as to be laughable. I have blond hair that gets oily fast, and this really works!

  • It's very useful. It can save us more time.
