Heather, are you reading my mind? I was thinking about this very thing not too long ago, especially about the potatoes in the microwave. I thought they were steamed, but anytime I bring stuff like this up in my house I just get strange looks.

Yes and no. There is also slow roasting, such as the tomatoes I did earlier this year.

roasting is usually done at higher temps than just "baking" right? great info……
