I so need a book with conveinant recipes….it ain’t even funny. There is nothing fearless about Becca. By the time dinner rolls around I am looking for anything quick and tasty to put on the table. I’m more of a breakfast and lunch kind of gal, ya know?

I love Kraft foods, grew up on them, and then my son turned out to be allergic to some food colourings and just to be safe I gave up on all pre-packaged foods. sigh……….. convenience food would be just that a convenience. I get Kraft’s ‘food and family’ magazine, I love it, but I substitute ‘real’ food for the convenience ‘pre-made’ stuff.

I wish there were affordable “convenience” foods for people like me – sensitive to multiple chemicals/preservatives/wheat – I would buy them if I trusted them to be as advertised. Just a few simple “legs up” on recipe staples would be really appreciated, like great organic veggie mixes with organic sauces to put over rice for a really quick dinner, or good simple condiments (tartar sauce in particular!) minus corn syrup, modified food starch, MSG, or other chemicals.

I read labels and buy accordingly, so unfortunately Kraft brand gets eliminated every time. Clear labeling is also a must: I will put back anything that says “modified” anything or “artificial flavoring.” Sure, these ingredients may be perfectly safe to eat, but I won’t chance it, since there are so many things that will make me ill that fall under these blanket labels.

My $.02 – I am happy for those who can enjoy these products as they are (and they certainly are tasty!). I just wish there were “convenience” foods for people like me.
